Hey, you! I am Aline. If you’re reading this, this is something I wrote through my eyes when I was 30 years old. Happy reading!

Hey, you.
I’m not sure who you are or what your favorite food is. I’ve just finished my dinner of white rice with vegetable curry, green chili sauce, and fresh vegetables like cucumber, basil, long beans, and cabbage as I type this. I eat a lot of vegetables, right? Yes, because I’m learning to improve my digestion system after surviving GERD, and one of the recommendations I’ve received is to eat fresh and cooked vegetables on the same plate whenever I eat. I’m not sure what kind of food you like or what kind of diet you’re following right now, but I hope the lifestyle you’re following is a healthy one for you. I hope you enjoy vegetables as much as I do, because they are my favorite food. So we can eat the same food, or I can prepare just one type of dish for the two of us to share. But it’s okay if you don’t — or haven’t — or are in the process of learning to eat vegetables.

Hey, you.
I want to tell you that I love Westlife, Boyz II Men, and any other 90’s west-boyband since I was a teenager, so much! I almost memorize all their songs, and almost every day I listen to them through Youtube or Spotify. Besides that, I also really like Korean ballads, their songs are very lively to me and I can feel the emotions directly through the tunes they play. On the other hand, I may like a song I suddenly listen to on the radio, a song I listen to when I walk in the mall, or a random song I find when I go about my daily activities in public. The funny thing is, I often stop for a moment even if I listen to a tune that I find interesting for less than 10 seconds, and after that, I will look for what song I’m listening to through the lyrics I hear and I write on Google and if I don’t find it, I don’t hesitate to ask people around, but if no one finds out, I’ll record it for me to find later. I’d love it if you could eavesdrop to listen to some of the playlists I have or at least share the same euphoria when I suddenly hear a tune or song in a public place. If this is not your style of listening to and enjoying music, that’s fine. I’ll still be a passionate woman when I listen to catchy tunes and I’ll put the songs you love on our travel playlist or save them on a Spotify playlist and name them “us” with the two of us nicknames. For music that is to your taste, I will not hesitate to listen to what you like if you are willing to share it. I’d even love to learn the lyrics of a song you like and get used to the sound. If the two of us singing together to your favorite music genre is what you’re into, then I suppose I wouldn’t mind putting them to my liking, too.

Hey, you.
I’ve written down two things that are essential in my previous life above. This time I will write down how deeply I know myself and this I can share for you to read at this time.

I can say that I live and grow as a woman who is sometimes far from being okay — but trying to be okay all the time. At the time of writing this, I am in a state of happiness and gratitude that I am surrounded by kindness, I have a place to live, have good food to eat, good friends are pleasant, and I even have online friends whom I have known since 2020 and we have been friends for 2 years, and have never met at once. We often share daily stories about what food we eat, what books we read, and where we spend the weekend, even when we meet someone who matches through dating apps, we share stories about it via WhatsApp, Telegram, or Instagram.

I am an overthinker in everyday life. It’s easy for me to think about things that may not be so important. But since 2021, I’ve been trying to simplify what I think and trying to see and revisit the little things that I can be grateful for. I re-examined stoicism, mindfulness, and the law of attraction. Since 2021 too, I am determined to apply it in everyday life, under any circumstances. Maybe next time I will tell you one by one about this in detail, through writings that you can read or listen to directly from my experience.

Hey, you.
I have never seen your face until I write this. But I hope you have a handsome, calming, and pleasant face that I can see more deeply than just your appearance. Through your face later, I hope I can see you as a home for me to tell you about this mediocrity life again. I can pack heavy thoughts into simple ones when I see the sincerity in your eyes whenever you look at me. I hope I can always be myself who is welcome to do any kind of craziness in front of you without being embarrassed when I see you smile or even laugh. I hope you are a person who longs for and puts forward sincere kindness, whatever the form of kindness, wherever and whenever you are.

I hope the same thing with you. I wish I could be the home of what you want to see and feel every day.

Hey, you.
When it comes to love,
I belong to the category of women who are “easy to love” whatever I meet in this life; even I love the ants that walk according to their queue and I’m reluctant to chase them away. I apply the feeling of love to everyday life, not sticking to one thing and one goal. For me, the meaning of love itself is very broad and abstract. I am a woman who lives and believes in religion, and the religion I believe in taught me that this whole life is a journey of love regardless of the form of the journey. I love my religion as well as the God I believe in. I define love as more than just a pleasant feeling, there are responsibilities, opportunities, pride, confidence, and all forms of love with each situation. Even though I easily love whatever I meet, it doesn’t mean all the things I love, I get a chemistry feeling or some kind of connection feeling. Sometimes I love without any reason, simply because I love from love itself. If you can mention what this means later when we meet, then let’s discuss this with me.

Although it may sound like love to me has a fairly complex meaning, believe me, I’m just trying to explain it through writing so you can understand how I mean love. In the end, I will be a woman who just loves to the fullest.

I hope you too that you can interpret love in your way, with what you really are, and with confidence in yourself that your life is also not spared from a life full of love, I also really hope that you have a strong foundation for living with a belief in God through the same religion as mine. I hope you believe that love is born from God the almighty love, as I believe in that. So that in the future we can find each other and we can discuss this in more depth.

Hey, you.
I have big dreams that I want to achieve. There’s a part of that dream I want to slowly achieve alone — I’m working on it. There are also dreams that I want to achieve with you at the right time and when I am ready to achieve them with you.

Some dreams that are common and may be achieved by myself or together with you, I will write here.

Previously I wrote about kindness. My big dream is related to this. I want to be financially well off, so I can use it to provide learning facilities for underprivileged children. I want to go to as much school as I can so that I can use the knowledge I’ve learned to guide others who are stuck in an impasse. I want to be known as a good person, and inspire others to be the best version of themselves. If I get the readiness and the time is right, I want to be a teacher who can guide the lives of people who are trapped in darkness, so that they can turn on their lights to later provide light for the lives around them.

My hope for you is that you have the same spirit as me that a meaningful life should be a life that is a livelihood for others. Let’s work together for kindness!

Hey, you.
Like other people, I have flaws and I love my flaws enough, while I fix them one by one.
I also wrote down some of my shortcomings which you can read later to get to know me more deeply. I hope so too, I can get a chance to fully learn who you are — just the way you are — even if it takes a long time. It doesn’t matter if I have to read or listen to the story that you will often fart if you eat cabbage or the old story about how you had to climb over the school fence when you were late. If you’re not ready to share your past life, it’s okay to share your interest in something now. It’s just that I hope you become the person you are when you tell me about yourself. I also hope that you are a positive person, have passion and great effort to be a good person, and become a person who loves yourself completely. It doesn’t matter if you may be considered imperfect, because perfection itself may not exist. Instead of pursuing perfection, how about striving for balance? Because sometimes balance produces things that go beyond the perfection that was originally desired.

Hey, you.
Let’s learn and find out the answer to what love and the purpose of life suppose to be, together in the future.
Now, as I write this, I’m working on just that; to become a stronger and better person; to become a person who grows in goodness. To become a person who is used to sharing love without reason, to be a person who is getting better and more religiously obedient to God the Almighty love.

Let’s meet under ideal conditions, you.
