I Feel Love, and I Realize that Everything in Life is a Form of that Love.
Have you ever felt your heart filled with a tremendous love for this life?
As I write this, I’m in the process of finishing reading one of the books that took me into a person with a heart filled with love, the book entitled “Secrets of Divine Love: A Spiritual Journey into the Heart of Islam.” written by A. Helwa. Am I going to make a summary of the book through this article? Not. If you want to know more about the book, it’s worth reading firsthand and experiencing it for yourself. Through this article, I want to share my experience of feeling — more that I am a loving human being — full of love from various sides of life.
Previously, I viewed or thought of love as just a “feel”, or a feeling that might grow if we start liking something. But that’s not necessarily certain. I could like something but I don’t love it, but it could also be that I just admire something and love it. For me, the form of love itself is a feeling that is limited and certainly reasonable, why can that feeling form into a love.
After reading the book, I was able to connect with true love itself. I can feel the form of love that is truly unlimited and does not have to have a reason why we humans who are endowed with feelings, must have a cause from love itself. I will share some forms of love that I can really feel deeply through the following points:
1. Loving the Life
I try to feel that every breath I take consciously since I wake up in the morning is something that can be done with love. I feel how grateful I am the previous night that I can use to get enough rest, greeted with a refreshing morning accompanied by the freedom to breathe. I feel that I am truly being cared for by love as I sleep, and wake up filled with love for which I can’t stop being grateful. This I do every time I wake up in the morning so I can connect to MY MAKER and this wonderful universe. I found the answer that for me, loving life means learning to put love first when I open my eyes every morning, followed by other activities, do it with gratitude and love, feel it right and give praise starting from small things with love. For example, I would say “I love you, the oxygen I breathe, thank you for giving me life. I love you, my eyes, thank you for introducing the many beautiful colors that exist on this earth. I love you, life, thank you for all the lessons learned. been through together…” and so on, as specific as I can be one by one. I do this every day and every time.
2. Loving Unexpected Kindness.
I learned and felt that a lot of unexpected things were present in my life, whatever their form. When I find bad things happen to me, in the past, it was natural for me to be a normal human being, I might react with negative emotions. But now, because I’ve committed to placing love in every area of life, I’m changing my perspective about the bad things that come not something bad, but something good for me to learn, something valuable for me to remember the good side, something which still deserves to be grateful for what it is. I believe that something happens with a lesson behind it. And believe that God — the Almighty Life giver will never put people in bad situations, but to learn. Why is that? Because if I understand again, “feeling” that something bad that happened was a piece of bad luck, is just a thought. For that, I try to change my perspective that influences my thinking into positive things, good things, things that I can love and I will always be grateful for. In this way, besides I learn through life lessons myself, I also feel inner peace of meaning from actually accepting the situation. If bad circumstances can be handled well, with love and gratitude, what if good things come? Surely, your love for kindness will grow even more — that’s how I feel.
“Love is the soul’s light, the taste of morning, no me, no we, no claim of being.” - Rumi
3. Loving Humans for What They Are.
I realized that love is something vast and unlimited. As a human being who is given a perfect heart and can feel it completely, it doesn’t matter if true love is grown as early as possible, especially love for fellow humans — fellow creatures of God who can feel the same thing. Maybe we are used to loving the closest people such as parents, brothers, sisters, grandmothers, grandfathers, uncles, aunts, and so on. It’s good that the same feeling applies and applies to other people. I start doing this from the most common thing or interaction, which is direct communication. When communicating, I fully prepare myself and focus my attention on the other person, prepare my ears to listen, prepare my eyes to pay attention to what the other person is trying to convey, and prepare my mind and heart to open myself to what the other person is going to say. That way, I can connect to feel what the other person is feeling. This is the form of loving fellow human beings for me, being present for other people properly, sincerely, and as human beings are. I believe if you can put yourself completely in goodness, that goodness will spread to others and spread the goodness of others.
4. Loving the Universe.
In this section, I, you, and all of us also realize that it is not only humans who live on this earth. There is life from animals and plants, and various supports for survival that the universe has provided such as water, fire, air, and so on which are even — possibly — infinite in number. The universe and everything in it have presented extraordinary beauty and wonder long before I was born. Loving the universe for me means enjoying small moments of movement that I can’t control, such as the wind that carries the falling leaves flying, the hen that is incubating her eggs, the shady tree that provides shade, and many more. Realizing those things, I feel my heart full — very full — with gratitude that I can live and be born in this world to enjoy the beauty that MY MAKER prepared. It doesn’t stop there either, because of love, the feeling to keep the universe as good as possible will emerge and be trained by itself. If you can easily love completely, then you can easily protect it completely, right?
“Love is the bridge between you and everything. Wherever you are, and whatever you do, be in love.” — Rumi.
5. Loving God, the Almighty over Love, and the Giver of Everything.
Actually, this is the first and main part. Which for me is the most important part of life, the most basic yet deepest feeling part about love itself. I believe that love is born from the Almighty, the owner of all forms of love in this world, which I call God. Through the book Secrets of Divine Love that I am currently reading, I can truly realize and understand that the figure of God is the true form of love. All forms of love, such as loving life, loving unexpected goodness, loving humans as they are, and loving the universe comes from God, the Almighty owner of All Forms of Love in this world, who has unlimited love. Until now I’m writing this, even though I haven’t finished the book I’m reading, I feel again that there are so many miracles that have been present in life that I may not have realized before. God has shown many things that love is close, that love does not go where it is in the human heart itself. God created everything in this life to be more than perfect, just as we can breathe automatically as long as we live, just as we are all given an abundant life, just like what we ask for, He will surely give it even more than perfect, how can I do not truly love the perfection of God, the Possessor of Perfection?
“To love is to reach God.” — Rumi.
I found and felt the true meaning of love itself. A very beautiful love, a love that brings kindnesses, a pleasant love, a grateful love, a love that can spread love to others, which comes from God, the Supreme Owner of Love itself. When I tell stories, I feel completely comfortable and happy. Realizing that I am a form of love itself, I should share this feeling, so that more people can find the meaning of the deep feeling of love. So that many people live well with love.
Thank you for reading my heart out through this article. May you soon find and feel true love, and may your life be filled with beautiful and good love!
